The New York tech leadership summit brought to light ideas on cutting-edge fields like artificial intelligence (AI), quantum computing, biotechnology, life sciences, information technology, and semiconductors that could work towards human welfare. The technology business summit was held at the Lotte New York Palace Hotel and was organized by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) School of Engineering during the second part of Modi's three-day visit to the US.

The roundtable discussion was chaired by CEOs from 15 large US-based companies, particularly well-known individuals like Sundar Pichai of Google, Shantanu Narayen of Adobe, and Jensen Huang of NVIDIA.

The perspectives were a mix of both the Prime Minister’s and the CEOs’ who brainstormed ways how the world's technological landscape is changing and how innovative technologies are improving people's lives everywhere, including in India. They acknowledge how technology’s transformation is making a positive impact on mankind’s development and the world economy, as well.

Reaching India’s Goal of Third Largest Economy in the World

During the conversation, Modi gave his word on behalf of the administration, which is bent on making India the third-largest economy in the world. Additionally, he urged the US companies to put their hand in uplifting India's economic success, particularly in opportunities like domestic co-production and co-development. He also shared how far India has come in terms of economic progress, emphasizing the speed at which growth is happening. He further assured that in his power, he will make sure that the country soon becomes a hub for semiconductor production worldwide.

As for the country’s economic development, the prime minister gave examples of areas like biotechnology, electronics manufacturing, semiconductors, and green development as a result of progress.

On another note, he gave assurances to the tech leaders on how India has never taken a back seat when it comes to upholding intellectual property rights and promoting technological innovation.

Accordingly, he gave a solid reason for what makes the country a good choice to be positioned as a global center for semiconductor production by highlighting the continuous economic development in industries like electronics and semiconductor manufacturing.

Thoughts for Transformation

The prime minister unveiled India's BIO E3 policy, which aims to make the country a biotechnology leader. Along the lines, he spoke of artificial intelligence and argued in favor of its inclusive and moral use through the "AI for All" campaign.

Startup Collaboration

The leaders acknowledged India’s progress towards the global stage as a hub of technology, driven by creative policies and business prospects. They recognized the collective ability of startups, which could pool more collaboration as a way to spur invention and create new technology.

Strengthening Potential Relationships

Earlier, the prime minister had spoken at the Nassau Veterans Coliseum in Long Island to an audience of the Indian diaspora. Another time was during the UN General Assembly, during which he had bilateral discussions with world leaders to strengthen India's relations with other countries. He is expected to continue speaking on the same matters at the upcoming 'Summit of the Future' during the UN General Assembly in New York on his last day of the tour.

Environment for Facilitating Innovation

The tech tycoons appreciated the way India has been widening an environment that is boosting innovation and emphasized the prospects that it could soon develop digital and technology infrastructure.

The latest tech CEO roundtable happens to be at a time when India is preparing to become a major force in innovation and technology worldwide. This has happened over the years with the government’s initiatives which have been promoting the country to rise in leadership in fields like biotech research and semiconductor production, along with the efforts of the private sector as well. Together, these initiatives have opened an endless number of opportunities for cooperation with major international technology companies.

On the other hand, the CEOs expressed optimism about upcoming investments in India and highlighted the country's strategic relevance as a technology powerhouse. To ease the process for more cooperation, the prime minister suggested the leaders make use of India's growing technical capabilities and work together to develop innovative solutions that will benefit the country and the entire world. He again assured that the country remains strong in its promise to build a robust, innovation-driven environment that complies with international norms for technological excellence.

The prime minister carries India's increasing importance in the world of technology on his tour to the US and his interactions with prominent tech CEOs. A key component of this goal toward a more wealthy and technologically advanced future appears to be the India-US collaboration, which is growing as India innovates, draws investment, and increases its influence in high-tech industries.

In the meantime, India signed the clean and equitable economy accords of the 14-member Indo-Pacific Economic Framework for Prosperity (IPEF) bloc in Delaware, US. According to reports, the agreement aims to accelerate measures to safeguard anti-corruption and facilitate the deployment of sustainable energy and technologies.
