A Benchmark for Edu-Collaborations

The workplace dynamics are changing in shut-eye time. Given the cut throat competition across industries, we can't really blame employers for expecting new candidates to be smart generalists go-getters producing outcomes beyond their technical or theoretical competence. But who are we kidding; the traditional higher education systems in the country have their own limitations for equipping students for such an elite level of competition. This predicament makes supplementary education platforms promoting increased agility and
learning aptitude all the more important, to say nothing of the need to create `global' professionals. Promoting more collaborative approaches among educational institutes could go a long way toward this. Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIM Indore) manifests a great example.

IIM Indore has recently signed an MoU with The Management School of the University of Sheffield, UK. The MoU was signed by professor Himanshu Rai, Director, IIM Indore, and professor Rachel Finn, dean, The Management School of the University of Sheffield. Commenting on the occasion, Professor Rai pinpoints the aims of the collaboration, "IIM Indore and The Management School of the University of Sheffield are both Triple Crown-accredited business schools with three prestigious accreditations from the AMBA, AACSB and EQUIS. While IIM Indore aims at developing socially conscious leaders, managers and entrepreneurs who contribute to nation-building, The Management School of the University of Sheffield focuses on fostering socially responsible management practices through world-class, innovative research and transformative education". We dedicate this special issue to the alumni of IIM Indore.
