Established in 1949, XLRI is the oldest management school in India. Came into existence much before IIMs owing to the foresight of Jesuit Fr Quinn Enright, SJ, XLRI over the years has built an intact reputation with its identity radically built on striking new avenues and constantly becoming the benchmark for other business schools in the country. This enterprising and pioneering spirit is a hallmark of XLRI's history.
XLRI has witnessed Alumni graduating as early as 1949. Today, more than 15,000 Alumni are working and serving reputed institutions across the world. The institute is also known for its endeavors of maintaining an active alumni network and ecosystem. Beyond the institution's identity, something that unites each XLRI alumnus is the Jesuit education values Excellence and Integrity instilled in them. In fact, the word `Excellence,' translation of the Latin word `Magis', doesn't fully comprehend the original meaning of Magis, which is to strive continuously for the best, without getting easily satisfied and without becoming complacent with our achievements. The word `Integrity' also describes the ethos of XLRI as Integrity. You cannot achieve excellence and long-term success without integrity and ethics, which is the first and foremost business lesson conveyed to the students of this historic institution. No wonder XLRI has produced a plethora of business leaders who constantly pursue 'Magis'. In this issue, we shed light on a few of those stellar business leaders.
