From a lot of highrises under construction to road infrastructure development and more investments in the city, Hyderabad is swiftly changing its face. The UAE based retailer giant Lulu Group recently inaugurated its first shopping mall in Hyderabad as part of its commitment to invest Rs 3,500 crore in Telangana three years back. Commenting on the occasion, Lulu chairman M.A. Yusuff said, “Today, we are inaugurating our first shopping mall in Hyderabad. This is our first venture in Telangana. We are planning multiple investments in the state. Our second project will be an export-oriented food processing facility, including meat processing, in Hyderabad”.
In addition, Mindspace REIT demolished its two 18-yearold iconic buildings in Hyderabad to invest more in the city and develop a 1.6 million sq ft new building. This is not all the city is pressing on gas with its road infrastructure development. The city's infrastructure and travel have improved with many projects, such as SRDP, slip roads, and link roads. The administration is planning to build five more bridges over the Musi River. This will connect the city's southern parts with the rest of it and solve the old problems of traveling in the city. These bridges will cost Rs.168 crore.

The central government also significantly supports Hyderabad’s infrastructure development. In April this year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of projects worth over Rs 11,300 crore, including 13 new Multi-Modal Transport Service (MMTS) services in the suburban section of Hyderabad. The city's facelift can be directly interpreted as more business opportunities in the city. This special issue is all about business leaders setting great examples of leveraging those opportunities.
