Can you provide a summary of your professional background and experiences? What motivates you in your daily routine?
As an entrepreneur for over thirty years, I have gained experience in various industries, from starting as a small garment company to establishing the Vijayshree Group as a conglomerate with a presence in industries such as automobiles, hospitality, and mining. I take pride in what we have accomplished, and I believe that having internal motivation is essential to making a positive impact in the world. My passion for exploring new industries has helped me understand the intricacies of business and establish successful enterprises.

How would you describe the Vijayshree Resort as an organization and its current market position?
Vijayshree Resort is a hospitality pioneer, offering unmatched hospitality as the only vegetarian, liquor, and smoke free resort in the world. With over 15 years of experience, we have built a great
reputation and enjoy a high percentage of repeat customers. Our goal for the next ten years is to expand our operations and add 51 rooms to our current property of 46 rooms, creating a luxurious experience for our customers near the World Heritage site, Hampi.

Can you provide details on your main offerings and what customers can expect from them?
We offer two distinct offerings catering to different types of customers. For retail clients seeking luxury experiences, we provide a unique and rejuvenating experience with a variety of amenities such as spas, state-of-the-art lawns, and four restaurants offering Indian cuisine to cater to all tastes. Our second offering is for those seeking a traditional and heritage backdrop for their destination wedding, taking advantage of the property's unique location. Additionally, our property has also become a popular venue for corporate events, with a capacity of hosting a guest list ranging from 50 to 2000 people. Those in search of unique and enriching experiences should consider visiting our property.

How would you describe your leadership and governance approach? What are your guiding principles as a leader?
As a leader, I strongly believe in empowering my team with the necessary authority and power while also developing democratic processes. From the beginning, I have focused on building an ethical and capable team, fostering collaboration and transparency to overcome challenges and achieve success. Clear vision and strong motivation are the key drivers of this approach

Can you talk about some of the most difficult challenges you have faced in your journey so far? How did you overcome them, and what did you learn?
As a self-made entrepreneur, I have encountered numerous challenges throughout my career. However, my ability to take risks and learn from my experiences has helped me overcome them. While venturing into the hospitality industry, I faced the challenge of setting up a 5 star
property without serving non-vegetarian food and liquor, which is conventionally expected. I stood my ground and instead focused on changing the mindset of people toward Sattvik food. It took several years, but it was worth the effort. Our resort is now endorsed by several celebrities and holds a Guinness World Record for being the only vegetarian luxury resort in the world.

Moving forward, I anticipate significant growth potential in the Indian hospitality industry due to the rising per capita income and changing consumer preferences. Consumers are willing to pay for unique and quality experiences, which is positive for our business. Additionally, the concept of destination weddings is gaining popularity, supported by policies from the government of India. We are optimistic about the future and plan to capitalize on these opportunities.

What changes in market behavior do you anticipate, and what opportunities do you foresee in the future?
In the hospitality industry, I anticipate a robust growth rate of approximately 20 percent due to the changing preferences of consumers and their willingness to pay for unique and quality experiences. The destination wedding offering is also gaining traction, with government policies supporting its growth. We are optimistic about these opportunities and plan to take advantage of them.
