With more than two decades of experience in the technology industry, Atanu Sinha, CEO of Altz Technologies, is a torch bearer of innovation & adoption of modern day techniques. Being an outcome driven technopreneur significantly aids Atanu, who previously was the Vice President of Hexagon's Geospatial Division managing South Asia Operations, in providing excellence in engineering and visuali zation technologies. Through his dream venture Altz Technologies a unique, customer driven, customizable 'experience' delivering company, Atanu is riveted on Industry 4.0, where he combines Location Intelligence with IoT, Deep Learning, ML and AI. Developing solutions and services by also integrating contemporary tools, Atanu intends to make the customer experience seamless and effective for his clientele.

How would you sum up the different ways in which your strong industry experience has influenced your entrepreneurial venture?
At the initial phase of my career, when the application of IT tools was gaining momentum. CAD/CAM/CAE, modeling market along with GIS/Mapping was being pitched aggressively, meanwhile being seeded into many organizations as a part of their Design Department Automation, Digitization of Maps and Creating information systems from various hard copy sources of data through digitization. Gradually, geography and modeling real world gained prominence and became part of mainstream IT. Playing an active part in this transition that evolved from what was known as application for 'scientific community' to now 'day to day' operational requirement in every field, I have seen myself growing as an impeccable industry stalwart.

Being accustomed with the opportunities and responsibilities, to
setup operations and manage businesses during my professional career, has helped me to evolve as a business leader. Gaining experience in setting up operations for the GIS business for Cyient in Delhi, we won one of the first projects for starting their utility practice and invested continuously to grow that business. Having worked with the major players in the industry including ESRI, in leadership roles, I was the Board of Member and Country Director(MD)for Hexagon Geospatial in India before venturing into the Entrepreneurship journey.

What were the initial challenges that taught you the basic lessons of entrepre neurship and helped you achieve the success that you had in the later phase?
One of the major challenges was to start our journey at the peak of the pandemic. Based on my experience, I managed to leverage the existing opportunities to craft a much more benevolent road for our organization. Taking an inclusive approach in terms of adopting remotely working scenarios, digitization of the sales process, pragmatic customer engagement, and so on, we took a head on approach to pave our path through the hurdles imposed by the pandemic. The advent of our journey was predominantly cemented by our distinctive financial management strategy which played a key role in our future roadmap. Owing to our competency to adapt and adopt, our parameters of success and initiatives are driven by a process that is transparent, employee centric and works as a catalyst for the professionals who are helping our organization to grow.

How are you leveraging your experience in the business operations for altz technologies?As a startup ceo, what are the novel strategies/methods you put forward to generate value for your organization?
I have had a rich and creative experience across the GIS/ Geospatial/ Space Techno logy/Location Based Services domain, which empowered me to reinforce my performance and put forth contem porary approaches across the markets. My customer centric approach to craft an exclusive platform and craft innovative solutions has predomi
nantly helped me in my journey so far. I have always believed in finding the right people and aligning them with the objectives of the organization to forge successful teams in such large and diverse organizations. Exposing our associates to novel technologies and trends, I have always been an adherent supporter of continuous learning and growing which further enables our resources to innovate and inculcate an entrepreneurial mindset.

What achievements has altz technologies attained since its inception? As a ceo, what methodologies have you incorporated into the business to the next level?
We have been working on some of the innovative projects on biodiversity and the environment which reflects on the amalgamation of Image Recognition based AI and ML techniques with Location Analytics. Apart from supporting a large Utility company to develop a mobile based solution for their field force to update data even in the remotest of locations,we are also collaborating with one of the esteemed institutes working in the field of Energy and Natural Resources for Drinking Water Mission. We have also been recognized by the government of India under Startup India Program for IT Consulting and IT Services.

Driven by our people, our success is complemented by Technology and Processes. We have crafted technology practice on some of the leading technologies as well as establishing partnerships with new age startups, which are fueling our growth in newer and non traditional markets. Currently, we are working towards offering our SaaS based platform to develop target applications for the efficient decision making processes for our customers in a cost effective manner.

Atanu is a Mechanical Engineer, who commenced his career from an EPC company as a Trainee Engineer. He transitioned to IT Industry and held various leadership positions. As a leader, he drove company's growth with technology partnerships, innovation through adoption of modern day techniques and providing excellence in engineering & visualization technologies. With exposure to work on many geographies, he learnt various aspects of business and has been successful in growing with every opportunity.Every business that he managed has grown alongside him, nurturing him into a new age entrepreneur.
