What were the significant facets and achievements of your professional journey? How did you end up as a leader in the HR domain?
Over the last two decades of my career, I have worked with various industries, which have trained me on how to handle Classes and Masses, and has given me the ability to build the best business model of Will & Wisdom. Holding in mind the top and the bottom line of a business with healthy balance sheet with a high employee engagement score and a trust index, I created a combination of culturally diverse and profitable organizations. My ability to manage people and problems led me to study human resources in depth, which encouraged me to take this as my profession and build my expertise in HR domain. I believe every business is for the betterment of human being.
Give us brief information regarding your personal and occupational back-story and how has it helped you make your journey so far?
I am a M.S.W (Human Resources) HR professional from JamiaMilliaIslamia University, and I have professional qualifications in T&D, Law, and Journalism. These degrees have the blessings of various learned Gurus in my life, who have made significant contribution to my thought process and have guided my life by making the journey easy to understand human behaviour in my profession.
How does your vast experience help you to chalk-out efficient business modules at your company?
My diversified knowledge gained by working with Construction, Telecom,
IT, BPO, Oil & Gas, Power and Coal industries, has given me expert is in of managing people and their aspirations. Each company, regardless of the area, is designed to make human life better. I have chosen Human Resources, which is one of the critical component to run any business. These industries have given me exposure of different business and processes to manage variety of people.
To overcome HR challenges it was essential to leverage technology by adoption of digital transformation, building competent workforce, team agility through capability development and ensuring entrepreneurial leadership by building high performing team.
What different roles & responsibilities have you been undertaking at JMC Projects? Also, brief us on the plans that you have for the company?
My key responsibility is to create strategic mind-set from business perspective and turn talent management into an instrument of business transformation that advances strategy, develop entrepreneurial leaders and coalesces in culture. Work with CEO and executive team to build and set strategic direction for achieving business goals. Conceptualisation of skills to shape the organisation to meet future business expansion need. My maximum time is spend on innovation, technologies and human engagement to create an open and transparent culture and encourage individuals to leverage their full capacity in a very simple yet robust mechanism, in order to get maximum output from people to add in the top and bottom line.
Give a brief account of how HR models that you laid have transformed JMC’s entire work culture and client relationships.
Setting up the systems and processes by using technologies, creating best talent pool, and the massive investment in training and up skilling, Mitigating the perceived risk, Very transparent and open culture for reshaping the organisation, Marketer and visible communicator internally and externally, integrating the corporate brand with purpose and values. This will strengthen our project as unique and different in the traditional construction world.
What were the initial challenges that taught you the basic lessons of managing diversified functions of large organizations? Also, how did you manage to achieve the success that you had in the later phase?
Confusion to the conclusion is the overview of my journey, from a heterogeneous solution to a homogeneous. People have immense potential, you have to just give them direction and create faith. Robust process and systems are the best way to manage large and diversified workforce. Human touch

Knowledge of PCMM, CMM, Lean methodology, COPC and Six Sigma have given me immense knowledge of maturity level in process and systems.
How do you ensure to update yourself with the latest trends and technologies in the HR industry so that you could always steer your organization towards the zenith?
I am a voracious reader and a big fan of the latest audio-videos of leaders from all walks of life. I try to incorporate all the knowledge latest trends and models that are relevant to HR and Business trends.) Thankfully, all my Bosses had added immense knowledge in my personal and professional life. I always try to stretch my boundaries and set goals by thinking backward. My biggest strength is my team, and I am confident to make an excellent and high performing team in any situation.
Family plays a vital role in the life of every individual. How has your family encouraged and supported you in your career so far?
My parents have made me what I am, and my family and others close to me have always dedicated their time and encouraged me to follow my ambition.
Managing a company involves a lot of stress, skill, and time. How do you manage to balance between your personal & professional life?
My mantra is, "if you can handle yourself with a positive mind, everything falls into its place”. I am lucky enough to have supportive family and the organisation, in order to manage my life.
