Could you describe your professional back ground and experiences? What motivates you in your daily routine?
I have a credible background in business and leadership, starting with MBA from FMS-85 batch. I began my career as a management trainee with Tata Group, where I worked for about five years in sales, customer service & channel management. After that, I moved to Usha International, a Shriram Group Company, to lead branch operations & later as Marketing Head. I also spent significant time leading channel sales for South Asia at Motorola, where I gained global exposure in the dynamics of telecom industry. Later, I transitioned to Canon, where I played a key operational leadership role in establishing the company in India and making it a power-house with significant growth in revenues. Subsequently, I served as COO & EVP for India, followed by taking a role as Canon Asia management board member, to lead Asia strategy
centre, based in Singapore.
In 2017, I left the corporate operational leadership and moved from Singapore to Vietnam to start my own leadership practice, focused on helping businesses scale up and transform. I founded a company called CREOVATE TRANS- FORMATIONS & CONSUL- TING, specializing in leadership development and organizational trans-formation. My work primarily involves coaching C-suite executives, including CEOs & CXOs, from various industries and countries. I have worked extensively in Southeast Asia, South Asia, Singapore, India, and with large number of multi-national conglomerates & founders.
My motivation stems from the belief that effective leadership is the cornerstone of successful organizational development and transformation. I have personally coached over 250 C-suite executives, from diverse cultural backgrounds. My strong focus is, on strategic orientation, people leadership, result centricity, Change management & customer experience to support leaders in building a solid foundation of growth and success.

Our focus lies in understanding and meeting the unique needs of top management, which are often centered around creating significant impacts on people rather than just management aspects. We firmly believe that effective leadership goes beyond personal charisma in achieving results; it's about building capabilities in people that drive organizational success. This philosophy guides our services aimed at enhancing the impact of senior leaders on their teams.

I often refer to this as the '10 senses of people engagement'. Central to effective leadership is creating an environment where individuals feel psychologically safe to express themselves without fear of judgment. This sense of safety is crucial for fostering open communication and trust within teams.
Another essential element is promoting a sense of inclusion and belongingness among team members. Lastly, instilling a sense of pride in the organization's mission and achievements can significantly boost employee morale and dedication. As a leader, I also emphasize the importance of maintaining an outside-in perspective to anticipate future challenges and opportunities.
What is your envisioned future both personally and for the organization?
In terms of my personal goals, I aspire to create a widespread positive impact on people, a mission that aligns with our company's vision of enhancing individuals' effectiveness in their roles and lives. Currently, we are pursuing this mission through consulting and coaching engagements, having already influenced approximately 250 senior leaders and 50 large clients across various industries in countries like India, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, the US, and Singapore.
Looking ahead, I envision our role evolving into that of a facilitator for startup organizations. I regularly engage with numerous startup organizations, focusing on helping them develop robust management systems and leadership principles to support their growth journey effectively. This initiative marks a significant turning point in our future trajectory.

In the early stages of leadership, personal charisma fuels motivation and execution, particularly among individual contributors. However, as leaders advance, emphasis must shift towards nurturing the capabilities of others. This transition from self-centered charisma to empowering others signifies a crucial milestone, albeit often delayed. It's advised to gradually pivot towards a leadership style centered on building and empowering others for sustained growth and success.
