With over thirty-five years of experience, how would you describe your journey to success, and what is your secret to achieving it?
Over the past thirty-five years, I have been fortunate to gain diverse experience within my core field of physiotherapy. I began my career as a clinical physio-therapist, dedicating myself to this role for approximately eight years. Following this period, I transitioned into the commercial sector, focusing on the equipment and technology market as a distributor in Singapore and Malaysia. Concurrently, I served as a Consulting Sales Director for a leading American brand, Chattanooga Group, managing growth across the entire Asia Pacific region from 2000 to 2015.
This extensive journey has allowed me to experience all facets of the industry. I have sat on every side of the table – as a clinician, a distributor and a manu-facturer’s representative. This unique perspective has endowed me with a deep understanding and sensitivity towards all stakeholders involved, enabling me to effectively navigate and address their needs in any capacity I operate.
My success mantra, inspired by author Shiv Khera, is: 'Winners don’t do different things - they do things differently.' This philosophy, coupled with a commitment to creating win-win strategies for all stakeholders, has been instrumental in my professional achievements. By approaching challenges with innovative solutions and
maintaining a collaborative spirit, I have been able to foster successful relation-ships and drive growth throughout my career.

In essence, my leadership style is to lead by example. Having progressed from the ground up, I am acutely aware of the challenges and obstacles faced at every organizational level. This journey has cultivated a deep sensitivity to the needs, aspirations, and potentials of all staff members. I am committed to fostering an environment where each individual can develop to their fullest potential, continuously inspiring them to excel and achieve their best. Consequently, I adopt a 'coaching style' of leadership, which emphasizes mentorship, encouragement, and personal growth. By focusing on these aspects, I aim to empower my team, enhance their skills, and drive collective success. We actively explore these innovations through trade shows, product launches,professional conferences, and online resources. This proactive approach ensures we are always aware of the latest developments and can quickly adapt to emerging trends.
Finally, we stay updated on clinical trends by monitoring the practices that are gaining popularity and showing promising results. To facilitate this, we bring in experts and clinical educators to provide continuing education and training to our staff and end users. Additionally, we are pioneering Foot and Gait solutions, utilizing advanced 3D printing technology to create customized insoles tailored to individual needs, ensuring optimal support and comfort. Another groundbreaking area we are focusing on is Performing Arts Medicine, where our team has developed significant expertise, making us pioneers in this emerging field by addressing the unique health needs of performing artists.
Our ultimate goal is to implement these clinical solutions across the Asian region, with a particular emphasis on Southeast Asia and India. By doing so, we aim to provide accessible, cutting-edge healthcare solutions that enhance the quality of life for individuals within these communities.
