Could you please share details about your professional background, experiences, and the motivation that drives your daily routine?
I've been involved in the construction industry for nearly 30 years, A master’s degree in public administration & obtaining Ph.D. in management from the National Institute of Technology. My motivation stems from observing various challenges in everyday life. The desire to address and alleviate some of these issues, assisting people in overcoming difficulties, fuels my commitment to contributing to improvements in the community, mobility, and overall living conditions. These aspects significantly impact the daily lives of individuals, motivating my work. I have a powerhouse of energy with Ambrish Parajiya joining me in 2012 as a co-promoter.
His path-breaking thinking and calculations have infused new energy into the group.
With your extensive 30 years of experience in the industry, could
you share your guiding principles for success?
Reflecting on my journey, I hesitate to label it as 'success,' but I am content with my achievements. Originating from a small village in Bageshwar, Uttarakhand, I have traversed a remarkable path, from the remote district of Kumaon hills to my current position. This three-decade journey in the construction business is a testament to my satisfaction. Whether it is considering the past, present, or future endeavors, I feel fulfilled in all aspects of life, acknowledging the blessings provided by God.
Can you elaborate on the distinctive experiences provided by the National Institute of Technology, and what insights or lessons did you gain beyond academic aspects?
The National Institute of Technology is an institution of national significance, attracting approxi-mately 5000 students from various parts of the country, representing almost all states and union territories. Being part of this diverse community allowed me to immerse myself in a rich cultural tapestry, where I learned about different languages, cuisines, eating habits, and clothing styles. The campus, known as Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, spans 100 acres at the heart of the city, providing a serene environment. This campus, surrounded by lush greenery, serves as a refreshing space where students gather in the mornings and evenings, offering a tranquil atmosphere with chirping birds and scenic walks. Experiencing life at SVNIT was truly unique and rewarding.

As an industry leader, what advice would you offer to emerging leaders?
My advice to aspiring leaders is to maintain a relentless focus on your product, always keeping the customer's requirements & satisfaction in mind throughout the product design and delivery process. Successful design encompasses considerations of cost, quality, and timely delivery. Prioritizing these aspects, with a keen understanding of what the customer truly needs, is key to success. There are no shortcuts, and compromising on quality today can lead to multiplied losses in the future. It's a principle we've observed consistently.
What is your perspective on sustain ability, green initiatives, and achieving netzero emissions by 2030, considering the prevalent buzzword in the real estate and construction industry?
Dholera SIR stands as a green city, equipped with its solar power system boasting 1000 megawatts of installed capacity, with plans to multiply it to 10,000 megawatts. Clean energy is set to be the primary fuel source in Dholera SIR. The city's design allocates 50 percent of the total area for development while preserving the remaining 50 percent as open space. This approach means only 25 percent of the total 1000square kilometers will be utilized, aligning with green principles. The city's design adheres to norms like a minimum housing plot of 200 square meters and a minimum industrial plot of 1000 square meters. The goal is to ensure no one needs to commute more than two kilometers for their livelihood. With a planned population of 20 lakhs (2 million) in the next few decades, we are committed to complying with all necessary green standards and minimizing carbon emissions. We view adherence to these principles as a safeguard for the future. We, the GAP Group, aspire to be for Dholera SIR, what DLF stands for Gurugram.
