Every organization should embrace the right attitude and mindset for building a transparent, ethical, and legally compliant culture

Brief us on your educational and professional background? How is experience giving you an edge among the other leaders in the market?
While studying my law degree from Govt. Law College at Chennai (I graduated in 1992), I got an opportunity to work and experience court practices. I was able to experience indepth knowledge in corporate laws, securities laws, and corporate governance, legislation, and more. I have in my career worked for multiple reputed firms in multiple areas. Over some time, I gained complete exposure to working in public and private sectors. The rich experience and exposure to various segments including extensive interaction with the government departments set me apart from most of the peers.

As a CCO, what corporate strategies have you leveraged to ensure organizational stability?
As Compliance professional, I believe that an organization should inculcate the habit of compliance. They must create a trust worthy and transparent work culture. At the same time, we must be credible and reliable service providers. We should propel such a compliance culture that If someone wants to question us or deep dive into our governance or legal affairs, they should think twice. I believe that a properly planned and executed compliance management system might be challenging at the initial face. However, it ensures that the business grows sustainably without risking the company's
reputation and at the same time, giving it the required stability. Therefore, it is necessary to have a strong compliance system.
