Can you share a brief overview of your professional journey, highlighting the major milestones and challenges you have experienced so far?
In 1992, I completed my bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and moved to Saudi Arabia. After relocating, I worked with Aramco Company for five years and acquired substantial experience in the oil and gas industry, especially in the planning and estimation wing. Then I moved to the maintenance industry and served for the Royal
Saudi Air Force for six years. During that period, I led a team in commissioning one of the biggest airbases, known as Prince Sultan Airbase located in Al-Kharj, and then served as Operations Manager for six years in Ministry of Defence, Riyadh.
Further, I moved on to the construction industry, gaining ample experience by working for 17 years in it so far, and even today I am a part of this domain.
Currently, I am equipped with more than three decades of professional experience working in different sectors. In this vast journey, for me, the major milestones are being part of several mega projects such as constructing an airport, land ports, a metro station, and power plants.
Through out these milestones, the challenges I came across were swiftly adapting to the evolving new technologies and at the same time manage multiple complex projects. Tackling all the challenges along the way and upholding sustainability have majorly shaped my leadership ability and problem-solving skills.
How is your three decades of professional experience helping you to build new strategies for long-term digital transformation?
Initially, when I started in Saudi Arabia, from 1992 to 2000 they followed a completely traditional way of working and gradually, I witnessed how the digital transformation took place. In light of this, I have first-hand experience blending the technology into conventional work setups.
The insights I received from my experience helped me bring advanced tools to manage multiple construction projects simultaneously and to align technology according to our business goals.
By implementing new tools regularly, I can drive a shift in the mindset of my workforce. Also, my earlier professional experience has played a pivotal role in developing new strategies. I ensure to prepare my employees and the enterprise system to openly welcome any new digital transformation that comes our way.

How do you drive a culture of innovation in your team?
As the VP, I bring innovation into the team through two crucial elements, namely trust and teamwork. I place high importance on training and equipping my team with advanced skills and tools, which help them to succeed.
Furthermore, we recognize and award them for their great efforts. It will inspire the team to try new paths and explore by pushing limits.
Going forward, what is your anticipation about the market? What growth opportunities are you looking ahead for the company?
At present, we are working on infrastructure projects, both for government entities and private companies. For the next five years, we are focusing exclusively on renewable energy, and moving towards working on more sustainable urban development projects. In the technology domain, we are building digital solutions for the construction sector. These are the potential areas where we can create significant impacts.
What would be your advice to budding industry leaders?
Saudi Arabia is filled with job oppor -tunities. Because global competition is high, individuals must be quick to grab job opportunities.
