Playing a pivotal role at Augnito, its CGO Piyush Arya is responsible for driving the development and evangelization of Augnito and how Voice AI advances and drives EMR adoption across healthcare.

A business leader with over 18 years of experience, with 10 years in Healthcare Technology across the US, UK and APAC markets, Piyush works with Technology, Clinical and Business Leaders to provide solutions that help enhance physician experience and patient care for both large and small hospital networks. Other than Healthcare, he has also served in various roles in Consulting and Leadership Development in India for over eight years. Before joining Augnito, Piyush has worked with organizations like Infosys, Sapient Consultin (now Publicis), Harvard Business School Publishing, Gallup, MphRx(an Agfa invested company), and NIIT.

Tell us about your educational back ground and professional journey so far.Highlight upon your role at Augnito.
Coming from an engineering background from New Delhi, most of my education has taught me to be methodical. For me it has always been about processes, data, numbers and analysis. In the world of Healthcare Tech, it was amazing for me to be able to look at product adoption from multiple stakeholders’ needs physicians, patients, operations, technology and business leaders. In my role at Augnito, I can minutely examine daily business processes and individual workflows both for our customers as well as for our teams - which helps in building strategy at a broader level.

What drives me as the CGO is the vision of the company to ‘Invent the Future of Healthcare’. In doing my part to achieving that, I chart out
strategies to drive growth and sales at Augnito as well as build and lead a team that delivers to this strategic intent. What really excites me is how a user-centered product driven brand such as ours can be commercially viable both for buyers and the company’s shareholders.

How would you define Augnito as an organization and its position in the market? What is the unique proposition that your organization offers to its clients?
Augnito is a product truly ‘Made in India’ for the global market. We have used Human Centered Design principles to understand the needs and challenges of doctors which are unique across geographies, and design solutions for them. It took us seven years of R&D to achieve the level of accuracy required in Voice Recognition to make Voice AI products effective and efficient, and loved by end-users. Today, we are the only company in India to provide such advanced voice technology for the Healthcare Sector and have made tremendous strides in helping the clinician community get aware of, and subsequently embrace the use of Voice AI in their daily clinical workflows.

Simply put, our biggest USP is our out-of-the-box accuracy for all global accents which has been tested and proven against the voice engines of global technology leaders, which is the main reason why most leading hospitals in India, as well as several other providers across the US, Canada, UK, and Middle East are adopting Augnito. Adding to this richness in the product, we have built our Customer Success organization as a cornerstone to building happy and delighted consumers, thereby building Augnito as a great organization.

How has your company’s journey been so far and what strategy has the company observed to maintain its position in the market?
The Speech Recognition market at an inflection point, poised for tremendous and explosive growth in the time to come. More so in healthcare, where a highly accurate output of clinical speech is foundational for physicians to embrace Voice AI. The only speech recognition solutions for Indian doctors were being served by monolithic companies from the
West, which are not designed to cater to the specific nuances and requirements of the Healthcare ecosystem.

With Augnito, we have completely disrupted this space by developing unique solutions that address the needs of healthcare professionals. Our Cloud-based solution is built on highly advanced Deep Learning models and offers the highest accuracy rates out-of-the-box for diverse accents without any voice training. In a short span of less than two years, we have reached over 7,000 doctors and have established our presence in 24 Indian states, and in 10 countries globally including the US, Canada, UK, Africa, Middle East and APAC markets. The flexibility and mobility that Augnito promises by being a Cloud based Multi platform solution is among several key factors that gives us an edge over our competitors.

In our quest to continually invent the future of healthcare, we put tremendous focus and efforts on R&D for building disruptive solutions for the future, that will shape how Voice AI can become a very integral part of healthcare provision.

Being the Chief Growth Officer of Augnito, what are your future plans for the company?
Augnito has ambitious growth goals in sight, and we want to continue to focus on the Indian market. The volume and pace of innovation in Health Tech in India will be instrumental in helping enable healthcare access to every citizen of India. Our forays across geographies outside of India and UK has proved that our product is world class and has the capability to become a leading brand globally in the years to come.

Also, what advice would you like to give to the budding professionals who aspire to become strong agents of organizational growth?
I would say passion and attitude are what set you apart in today’s competitive workplace. While skills can be taught, if that go-getter mentality isn't there to begin with, then no amount of training can help you achieve success! It all boils down to how much effort someone is willing to put towards their own personal development by working closely together with peers and managers as equals on tasks they may not have leadership experience yet. When you combine this passion and attitude with continuous skill development, there is no doubt that you will grow up to being truly successful in driving organizational growth.
