Tell us about your educational and professional background before Silco Cables. When you first started working, did you foresee that this is where you would be?
After completing my schooling from GNPS, I chose to pursue graduation in commerce due to keen interest in trade and business. Intrigued with entrepreneurial spirit and aspiration to create something big and successful, I started my business at the age of 18. I'm the first generation entrepreneur in my family, hailing from a middle class background and having limited resources. As they say, 'When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it'. It was my hard work and the divine blessings that made everything possible.
What emerging marketing trends have you identified thatcould affect our automotive industry? How are you gearing up your company in the coming future?
We are living in the era where we will be recognizing time period with pre and post Covid tag. India is one of the countries severely affected by Covid, and as a company, it is very challenging to grow when there are lockdowns and restrictions on operations. It has badly affected the market demand and liquidity. However, I believe that every challenge creates a new opportunity. Since the rest of the world is coming back to normalcy faster than India, we have started focussing on export markets and are very hopeful that these efforts will add more to our top line and bottom line.
In your journey so far, what factors bestowed you with utmost satisfaction? What basic lessons did the journey teach you?
Becoming a first gen entrepreneur gave me the utmost happiness. While the journey helped me grow personally and professionally, it also equipped me to drive my vision by putting the company on the global map. One of the learnings I gained in my leadership expedition is recognizing that ups & downs are a part of the process. We should learn to celebrate and feel fulfilled along the way. I know it's not about the destination, it's all about what you become in the process. Success should make you humble and soft spoken.
Who do you look up to for inspiration or mentorship? What are some of the successful mantras you've learnt and wish to recommend to other leaders?
My mother has always been a great source of inspiration and strength. It is my mother who has instilled in me these values and given me a

Who do you look up to for inspiration or mentorship? What are some of the successful mantras you've learnt and wish to recommend to other leaders?
My mother has always been a great source of inspiration and strength. It is my mother who has instilled in me these values and given me a
beautiful upbringing. Whatever I am today, it is because of her efforts on me. My mother has been a driving force behind my entrepreneurial journey. As an open minded learner, I learn from all and look up to great people like Ratan Tata, Elon Musk, and Tony Robbins. I believe that a business owner must emphasize his organization's structure and have the right people at the right place, where they are not just motivated, but also happy to work and evolve themselves. I like to keep a very casual and healthy atmosphere at the work place. When you involve your team in strategic planning, they form a special bond with the goals of the company and are aligned with the company's vision. According to me, Vision, Team Work, Conviction, Persistence, Honesty, and Leadership are crucial attributes that gogetters would need. All I would like to say is, never leave sight of a decision without taking action. Do something immediately without losing sight of your goal.
What is the most challenging project that you have executed so far? Highlight some of the achievements you marked after overcoming those hurdles.
Being able to make a Pan India footprint was one of the most challenging and interesting projects. At present, we have over 1000 products in our portfolio and a dedicated network of more than 300 distributors and are currently exporting to four continents across the globe. My journey of Rags to Riches to what we are today is the most rewarding achievement. Also, I would like to add that this wouldn't be possible without divine intervention despite all the hard work and conviction. I always have big gratitude to the almighty, as without his blessings, nothing would have been possible. In my journey, I have seen and experienced many miracles and impossible things working out.
