Brought to life by three sisters Neha Sharma (Operations & Marketing Head), Tanishka Sharma(Designer & Fashion Stylist) and Smrati Sharma (Creative Head & Fashion Stylist), Rajkumari is one such e-Commerce platform that was born out of the passion and love towards their mother Rajkumari Sharma. Catering to the demography of average middle-class and upper middle class women, Rajkumari provides the best quality customized designer outfits Ethnic, western & Indo Western within its target customers’ budget and as per their requirements.

A Heart-to-Heart Connection
Although all three sisters are distinctive from each other in nature, right from the educational stream they pursued to their dreams in life, at the end, they are all linked with the love towards their mother and the desire to take pride in her name. Understanding the needs of hours of childhood, the trio hustled into their studies well and earned a good academic record. After earning her engineering stripes as one of the class toppers, Neha kickstarted her career in the IT industry and worked at renowned software development companies such as Samsung and HCL for 7.5 years. Her devotion towards her job didn’t curtail her even a little from fashion industry. She kept an eye on trending and know-how in the industry without any intention of entering into it. However, the destiny has planned some thing unpredictable for her.
Later in 2016, Neha held hands of her other two sisters and grasped the desire of meeting the dreams with reality making them one! In 2017, she left her cushy job as Team Lead from HCL to embark on the entrepreneurial venture and take possession of ‘fashion’ for a lifetime as an indebtedness to Rajkumari, their mother. “Since childhood, I was inspired by my mother, who had her own boutique and was training girls to stitch. During my days in the corporates, I always had this feeling that something was missing. It is the ability to provide job to others in a field I love that makes me feel complete,” proclaims Neha.
She poured her entire life's savings into the business and began her path to entrepreneurship from their own apartment in 2016 (officially registered as an LLP in 2017). Thanks to her experience in the IT industry, she was familiar with the nuances involved in generating online traffic through digital marketing. Hence, running an e-Commerce business was a cakewalk for her. For Smrati however, Rajkumari was a dream come true, since she had been raring to give a shape to the fashion ideas she had in her mind. A post graduate in Creative Designing, she proficiently translated her passion for fashion and professional expertise to design high-quality outfits with distinct designs.
Similarly, Tanishka is a well-known model possessing a postgraduate diploma in Fashion Designing, who contributes to churning-out unique collections designed in tandem with the latest trends. She has always been following the fashion shows & trends however, what she used to follow more than anything is her mother. Tanishka affirms, “I am proud that how I used to follow my mother, the world will be following Rajkumari (her) soon”.
Similarly, Tanishka is a well-known model possessing a postgraduate
diploma in Fashion Designing, who contributes to churning-out unique collections designed in tandem with the latest trends. Rajkumari’s story acquired a Cinderella-like twist with its Lashkara Anarkali collection, which in one shot catapulted the company’s sales figures straight into stratosphere. “Lashkara Anarkali was the most trending product for nearly four years. We still get orders for this collection,” affirms Tanishka.
However, it is the company’s stark focus on achieving cent percent customer satisfaction that enabled it to thrive amidst the fierce competition in the market and earn a stellar reputation. “We take great pride in the fact that our products have never received any negative comment from our clients till now,” remarks Neha. Initially, when it did get complaints regarding logistics like late arrival and delivery status unclear, Rajkumari nipped the tie-up with that courier company immediately and onboarded a new logistics partner, because for the company, bringing the smile of satisfaction on its customers’ face is much more important than monetary benefits. Currently, the company’s products are also available in marketplaces like Amazon, Flipkart, Paytm, and Clubfactory.

Tremendous credit to this innovative spirit, Rajkumari, which was bootstrapped with a few thousand rupees, has raked-up a whopping revenue of Rs. 70 lakh in 2019 solely through its online business. Gearing-up to further channelize its growth trajectory in the offline medium as well in this year, the company is currently looking to raise funds for launching its franchised outlets & designer showrooms. Judging by the three sisters’ indefatigable passion and unwavering dedication, it is safe to say that they have set the stone rolling only to grow big.
