The story of Analytical Wizards is also the story of a friends trio Ram Sharma (CEO & Chairman), Ashish Jha (Head, India Operations), Sanjeev Bhalla (CTO) who founded the company in 2015. The IITian trio’s passion for solving a higher level of unmet needs in the healthcare industry by gaining deeper insights from multiple often unused big data sources, faster with scientifically rigorous precision of prediction, has been the cornerstone of the company’s success across continents. Jaya Subramaniam, the company’s Chief Strategy Officer, completes the core leadership team.
Their vision to assemble an A team of highly experienced experts in fields of technology, pharmaceutical commerciali zation, and advanced analytics is significantly paying off today providing healthcare organizations with deeper, faster, and actionable insights on both clinical and business fronts. Tell us about the journey of Analytical Wizards. Where is the company positioned in the industry and what makes it unique?
Ram Sharma: Analytical Wizards is revolutionizing healthcare analytics, combining AI/ML, technology and healthcare expertise to accelerate business performance to improve patients’lives.
We blend data science and industry expertise to deliver actionable insights and facilitate data driven decision making at organizations. How does the company ensure that it understands customer pain points and delivers solutions that address them?
Ashish Jha: We thrive on our deep relationship with our customers. Staying close to the customer, listening to their business problems, and asking them the right questions to go more profound have been our way to understand their pain points. Understanding the requirement is critical in developing a solution that addresses the pain points appropriately and adds value to the customer.

Sanjeev Bhalla: Analytical Wizards has brought together deep experts from statistical modeling, machine learning, deep learning as well as, and core web scale software engineering. We focus on building platforms that let us solve problems in analytics that keep efficiently reappearing at our customers. Our products are built on modern web components and cloud technologies that allow auto scaling. We also have a recent no code offering for solving many custom predictive analysis questions that our customers ask.

IZE Engine fast tracks trial enrollment by making intelligent predictions based on the trials recruitment criteria and through faster enrolling of the US sites and the US investigators and sending automated alerts to eligible patients. Besides faster clinical trial completion, it also enables faster FDA approval, improves cost efficiency, and in turn ensures the competitive advantage.
How is the team built and what motivates them the most to ensure client satisfaction?
AJ: Analytical Wizards places significant value in the learning and development of people. In addition a friendly and collaborative work culture that is dynamic, fast paced, and values innovation is at the core of the work culture. It keeps people engaged and motivates them to ensure customer delight all the time.
AJ: There are several instances where the company’s offering has helped the client achieve its objectives within the challenging business constraints. A big pharma company has recently used the insights and recommendations coming from our leading software product WIZ. We developed advanced statistical models to translate the business situation into an analytic framework and then derived insights that resulted in significant cost savings for the client.
What role has Analytical Wizards envisioned to take in the near future? What is the level of impact it strives to bring to the market?
RS: Analytical Wizards’vision is to transform healthcare analytics. What this means to us is to breakdown historic barriers preventing more frequent use of data analytics that provide deeper, more meaningful business insights. Better knowledge comes with better strategies and plans enabling meaningful engagements, ultimately improving patient care. Through out his professional journey, he has worked across many elite organizations across industry verticals like Life Sciences, Retail, Insurance, Tele communication, Banking & Financial. He is also a Ph.D.(ABD)from the University of Pennsylvania.
