For the approval of Mineral Resource Estimates, Ravi is a Qualified and Competent Person as defined by JORC - Australia, Canadian National Instrument 43-101 and numerous other regulatory authorities across the world.

In an exclusive interview with CEO Insights magazine, Ravi Sharma discussed his business experience and the expansion of BMRC.

What inspired you to establish Bedrock Mineral Resource Consulting? What roles and responsibilities do you handle in your capacity as MD?
In 2011, I established Bedrock Mineral Resource(BMRC)as an independent consultant located in Dubai. It has investment taken me the last 22 years and 70 nations to build a diverse clientele that includes offices in Oman, UAE,

Guinea(West Africa), and two in India. In my role as BMRCs MD, I am responsible for the overall management and strategic direction of the company. My daily motivation comes from the duties of my work, which include creating and executing corporate policies and strategies, communicating openly with all stake holders, and ensuring the success of the firm. Also, I believe that to be an effective MD, one must be able to oversee and develop the company's strategic goals. In the end, an amazing MD is an extra ordinary leader who drives the strategic vision of a firm and is skilled in crisis management.

Define Bedrock Mineral Resource Consulting as an organization and its current position in the industry?
BMRC is a mining consulting firm. Among our most valuable assets is our ability to provide comprehensive, high quality services in the fields of exploration, mining geology, and the assessment of mineral resources. For the worldwide mining and exploration sector, we provide a complete range of project management services, from the earliest stages of conceptualization to full-scale production. What has been the success mantra that constantly helps you arrive at positive outcomes?
Success, in my opinion, is intertwined with the success of others. C-level executives must change their attention from ‘I’ to ‘us’ to be successful. As a result, success will no longer be determined only by an individual's commitment to the cause. A more accurate measure of success is the capacity to build and keep a motivated workforce that is eager to go the extra mile.

Being the MD, how do you plan to apply your exceptional understanding of the domain to Bedrock Mineral Resource Consulting and take it to the next level?
Everyone concentrates on strengthening vulnerabilities. In my opinion, one may differentiate themselves by focusing on their strengths, since this is where one gets the biggest return on investment. Every day I strive to do the same with BMRC and elevate its stature.

Based on your strong professional experience, what advice would you give to the upcoming leaders in the same industry?
Set a good example for others to follow. It's important to model the behaviour you desire from your employees, but it's also important to recognize that your function is distinct from that of your workforce.
