He aspired to be a leader and pursued it; studying at XLRI, Jamshedpur has indeed been a turning point of his journey.

CEO Insights engages an exclusive interaction with Sunil to explore his educational and professional expedition.

How has the influence of XLRI been on you? What are the basic lessons that you carry even today in your professional journey?
I have always been in search of growth and transitions in every organization I work with. XLRI fuelled this passion and shaped my leadership personality. The faculty and my peers definitely made me understand that it’s crucial to reach my fullest potential and take a leap to lead from the front. The journey has helped me thrive as a result oriented professional as well.

The learnings from XLRI are helping me portray the best in every role I take charge of. In more than a decade of my professional journey after leaving XLRI, I have orchestrated cross functional teams to deliver innovations. With hands on experience in operations business intelligence, analytics, project management,revenue management, consulting, and more,
I have been able to transform businesses into profitable brands.

Going forward, what are the changes in market behavior do you anticipate, and what are the opportunities that you foresee?
We are living in the world of AI and automation. It is very evident that we can witness more tech enabled platforms and a tech revolution within the industry which is already proved with the COVID outbreak. Therefore, if we don’t progress with technology, we will be left behind.

Technology is certainly not a choice in this new world but rather a core business strategy that must be weaved into every aspect of an organization


At AdvantEdge, we have built truly technology enabled business functions. My team and I embrace tech driven strategies to position ourselves in the market. We have been investing a lot in RPA technologies and analytical tools to enable real time decision making by understanding market risks. By bringing in business intelligence and digital aid to decision making, we differentiate the organization from other less tech savvy companies.

Tell more about advanced technologies and unique strategies are instilled in the company’s services that make it customer’s first preference?
AdvantEdge strives to remove technology, administrative and cost burdens for our clients while assuring that revenue is maximized, consistent with government and payer rules and regulations. We are one of the very few healthcare companies in India to use Virtual Manager i series latest platform. Apart from this revenue management technology, we do use advanced tools for workflow management which is built inhouse. From a strategic perspective, all our ideas and plans are focused on staying at least 10-years ahead of the curve in the market.
What according to you is the success mantra that constantly helps you to come at positive outcomes? What advice would you give to the budding professionals?
Honestly, I believe that we can achieve anything if we develop a never give up attitude.However my faith in the omni potent gives me the strength to transform any situation and produce positive out comes for people.

My strong and friendly suggestion to young professionals would be to not follow the money. Instead, make the money follow you by focusing on providing values and building a better career.

The Healthcare Industry has contributed majorly during the pandemic. What role did Advant Edge Healthcare Solutions play during the pandemic? What were the challenges that you faced and how did you overcome them?
The thump of the pandemic was sudden and unexpected to all, but we as a team bounced back in a very short time. We were agile to shift to the remote working culture in just 3 to 4 days. Right from operations to logistics nothing was much disturbed as we could act fast and use relevant technologies.

Most importantly, our employees were taken care of just like our family members. We ensured adequate aid in terms of online doctor consultations, insurance, and moral support as well.
