Entrepreneur, innovator, and thinker on technology, applications, and product building, Taron is known for setting up the country’s first precision CNC job shop for low volume, high precision sheet metal fabrication, and the country’s first sheet metal CAD/CAM software service, the first mobile VAS company. He is armed with over 38 years of vast experience in building customer centric, disruptive, and innovative solutions on a global level.
On the other hand, Vikram holds 35+ years of expertise in Business Development, Sales & Distribution, and Profit Centre Management. He has unrivalled experience in Consumer Banking, Credit Cards, and Life Insurance being associated with Citibank, HDFC Standard Life Insurance, and Europ Assistance India where he was responsible for leading teams and growing the business in India.

experience from IIT Delhi.
•Taron: IIT Delhi was the best five years of my life. The academic culture at IIT gave us the power to think differently and break the systems, solve problems, and put together technology into a product. I began my entrepreneurial journey in IIT itself by converting a basic shuttle loom to an air jet loom at a total cost of 50 percent of a comparable air jet loom when I was in my third year. Beyond academics, it also brought in friendships that are everlasting, and the best even today.
•Vikram: Adding onto what Taron said, IIT Delhi was a humbling experience learning together with hundreds of people who are better than you. Learning at IIT Delhi included hard work, at the same it was a lot of fun. The experience here taught us time management and how to find solutions in a very effective manner.
Briefly tell us about the solutions provided by Mobipay Securiservices.
•Taron: We are a nimble, fast-thinking company, putting together globally disruptive and differentiated payment solutions enabling card present transactions for online M-commerce payments and the SIM overlay financial inclusion solution for feature phones. The card present transactions for online M-commerce payments are much needed and wanted by merchants globally we put it together and are taking it ahead with the only pilot globally with Visa, Axis Bank, and some merchants in India. It’s a simpler, faster, more secure, more efficient, and lower cost payment solution for online M-commerce transactions. This is the first major innovation in online M-commerce card payments which is solving a global problem of card fraud in online M-commerce transactions.
•Vikram: On the other hand, the whole idea of the SIM overlay financial inclusion solution for feature phones is to solve problems for the customer segment (who are still engaged in traditional banking) and help them become a part of the digital banking ecosystem. What is your leadership approach? And how is the team built?
•Vikram: In my previous roles, I have successfully managed a team size of close to 10,000 people at the same time. And have also been an individual contributor in different roles across organizations. I have learned to follow a democratic style of leadership approach where I let people participate in the decision-making process. In my team everyone is given the opportunity to participate, ideas are exchanged freely, and discussion is encouraged but the final decision is made by me given the fact that I am responsible for the overall well-being of the organization.
