CEO & Chief BD

The latest innovations in technology are inspiring entrepreneurs every day. In today's market, successful business leaders must set themselves apart from their peers. One of the best ways to do so is to expand one's worldview and aspire to change the world for the better. Uday Kumar Ghose, the CEO of Federal Synergies, is one such inspiring leader who started his association with the company with an aim to apply his vast knowledge of science and technology to shape a better and sustainable future. Uday refuses to accept things the way they are, and instead, constantly looks for ways to improve systems, processes and outputs, especially in Drone Technology. Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India recently said, "New drone policy will benefit people living in remote areas”. PM believes it is of paramount importance to declutter rural India's property, land and house records which can only be possible through accurate implementation of Drone Technology. Uday is moving with the same vision, while also being in pursuit of new use cases for the technology including surveillance and agricultural spraying. He also foresees the creation of a unique DroneTech Industry which will create millions of jobs and reshape the economic growth of the country. Uday further urges other organizations to develop DroneTech Programs and raise the efficiency of the tech to compete on a global scale. Below is an excerpt of the CEO Insights' exclusive interview with Uday.

Walk us through the experiences in your professional journey so far. What attracted you to be a part of Federal Synergies?
As an Electrical Engineer, I have spent the major part of my professional life in the power sector across the value chain. Starting
from power generation utilities, I have been associated with T&D EPCs and equipment manufacturers for this sector. I have been driving the growth strategy and business process transformation in most of these organizations, with the aim of improving efficiencies by institutionalizing processes which in turn delivered higher bottom lines. I have also been actively involved in corporate strategy planning, implementation and business development aligned with the organization's vision and overall goals. I have been associated with Federal Synergies India for more than two years now. It is the most exciting phase in my career which spans over three decades. The idea of building a business from scratch in an ecospace which is futuristic, driven by technology and throws up new opportunities almost every day excited me to join hands with the company.

My vision is to integrate and seamlessly connect the past with the present and present to the future

How would you define Federal Synergies India as an organization? Also, tell us about its unique propositions that are available for the customers.
Drones &Drone Data are a set of tools which if operated with creativity and intelligence, they have the potential to disrupt the system of governance. To ensure optimum utilization of resources we developed and set up a dedicated Drone & Drone Data Call Centre model. We have been actively providing drone based services to a plethora of customers across different industries since 2018. As an organization we possess the ability to think and design contracts that are implementable with stiff service level agreements. We believe in delivering the best service available for our customers and walk with them as their partners in business. My vision is to integrate and seamlessly connect the past with the present and the present with the future.

What changes do you anticipate in the market behavior? What opportunities do you foresee?
Change is a gradual process, it
Cannot be rushed, we are glad that we are a part of the trigger to get our customers to start thinking of change based on real and real-time data. The transparency that aerial data brings will drastically change governments, civic society and markets in the years to come. As they start understanding the real value of what existing technology can provide, a need for mass market adoption will also emerge. Drone Data will also emerge as a stand alone vertical which will see record investment in the times to come. I also strongly feel that the value lost due to inefficient processes in traditional industries like mining, infrastructure development, and land acquisition will start becoming cleaner, smarter and make markets more efficient.

What are your future plans for Federal Synergies India?
I believe that there is a long way to go and we are always open to collaboration and partnerships. We are planning to invest in startups and are open to innovative ideas. We are further planning to expand R&D on ground based Drones which can act on aerial data being provided to help create a truly automated environment.

Looking back, what is the biggest achievement that bestows utmost satisfaction to you?
I have been in this industry for a long time now and I have been able to take charge of an ailing business and transform it to a profitable enterprise by overhauling the product portfolio and providing value added services to a fresh segment of customers. Nothing can be more satisfying.
