Below is an excerpt of Varun’s exclusive interaction with CEO Insights magazine.
How has been your journey so far with Living Art Interiors and what drives you today?
About two years ago, I was appointed to the role of Director of Sales at Living Art Interiors. And I have had a fantastic two years here at Living Art Interiors. As for what keeps me going, I'd have to say that satisfying the city's need for products of European quality, German commodities, and Italian flair is what keeps me going.
Why was Bangalore chosen to be the breeding ground of your company? How has the place favored you so far in your operations?
Bangalore is one of the most progressive cities in India, and its residents have a strong desire to improve their standard of living. Homes in this city often have locally crafted features such as kitchens, closets and furnishings. And now that so many individuals have traveled widely, many of them are returning home with a desire to improve their dwellings in light of the many cultures they have seen. I believe that is something that continually piques our company'sinterest in Bangalore.
How would you define Living Art Interiors as an organization and its current position in the market?
Living Art Interiors is a company that exemplifies contemporary aesthetics, simplicity and creativity. We are a representative of European furniture, kitchen, and wardrobe companies as well as lighting manufacturers. Each member of our skilled team of designers and installers has years of experience in their respective fields. Both our studio and experience center is situated in Bangalore and both showcase many high-end designs for luxury interiors that were created by our brand partners. We strive to provide not just aesthetically pleasing designs and products, but also high-caliber service and a hassle free experience.
Today, Living Art Interiors is probably one of the fastest-growing companies in Bangalore. We are moving from 5000 expanding to a 7000 square foot showroom, probably in the next month or so. Also, we will have additional 3000 square feet around the 2nd quarter of 2023, Post this we are looking for additional space to introduce more brands which will happen around the end of 2023 (so all our plans are in place).
We have the principle that anybody who passes through the entry door should be treated as a guest, not a customer

What are the value additions that customers can expect from your services and solutions?
We have the principle that anybody who passes through the door should be treated as a guest, not a customer. Our showroom should seem like an extension of our home. I make an effort to greet each one of our walk-in clients.
Which are the areas you have envisioned in creating impacts on the future roadmap of your company?
We already have opened a sales office in Chennai and have seen good success in the last year, our plan in the future will be to look at opportunities like Hyderabad Kochi.
As a leader, what would be your advice to entrepreneurs who are starting anew in this domain?
There are two major concerns that I think many modern entrepreneurs are struggling with. The virtue of patience is one example. I've seen firsthand how quickly many aspiring business owners lose their patience. In my opinion, individuals must acknowledge the fact that building a successful company takes time and effort. Their situation calls for some patience. The second is that no entrepreneur should expect to make money in the first year but rather focus on establishing a name and reputation for one self. Profit margins and bottom lines will inevitably increase.
