Vasundhara is one such proactive and tech savvy lawyer who is working to create solutions by combining the appropriate technology with the law. Vasundhara is dedicated to enhancing her domain expertise by supporting startups and SMEs with legal and business structures and providing them with the necessary legal help to strengthen and grow their businesses.

In an exclusive interview with CEO Insights, Vasundhara spoke about her journey from white collar crime lawyer to entrepreneur.

What prompted you to launch your legal firm, and what motivates you as an entrepreneur today?
I established my own business

since I saw a significant gap in under standing between technology and lawyers and how it could assist them legally. My perspective was fundamentally to comprehend and having done my legal tech startup, I now understood how businesses worked. I also knew how the technology worked and how law and technology may be integrated. Hence that was a service I wanted to offer into the industry, which is why I launched my venture, where we generally work with a lot of techheavy startups, helping them with legal structuring, fundraising, and protecting their innovation, among many other things.

How would you describe Verum Legal and its market position?
Verum Legal is a startup friendly law firm it is an institution that focuses on assisting startups and individuals in need of legal assistance we have a team of specialists who have been trained at the greatest law firms in the country. We have a highquality legal team, and we're all young, energetic professionals. The team relishes working with startups at great speed and efficiency, which is essentially what startups require most of the time. And, in terms of market position, I would say it's becoming a one stop destination for most businesses, and we want to only take it to the next level and support as many businesses and entrepreneurs as we can.

You've been a legal head and advisor for many companies for nearly a decade. What is your success mantra, and how did you reach this level?
To be honest, I've been proactive and learning. I guess my mantra

would be,"There is nothing I cannot accomplish”. For example, while working at my legal tech firm I became a marketing specialist, learning everything there is to know about SEO, content strategy, and social media. All of my learning is now assisting me greatly in promoting my own legal company. For me, we should never be afraid of learning, and we should keep an open mind when it comes to growth and learning. We should learn from everyone around us, whether they are juniors, seniors, or from a different domain.

How does your company distinguish itself out from the competition?
We distinguish ourselves in that we are extremely hands-on proactive, highly disruptive in the industry and we assure that, if necessary, we do get to the core of whatever the need of the hour is. For instance, if it's a financial transaction, we'll make sure we are speaking with financial specialists rather than offering impulsive judgments. If any of our clients come to us with a technology related concern, we always have some technical professionals on hand and have thorough discussions with them. Essentially, we provide an end-to-end service strategy and ensure that any services provided by us are comprehensive in nature.

Can you also tell us about your plans for Verum Legal in the future?
Future plans are going above and beyond, reaching new heights. We also want to establish ourselves as a law company that is completely a technology firm and a specialist in startup laws, as they say, there are no startup laws, but any laws that deal with startups and enable entrepreneurs to essentially scale up, create the legal structure thoroughly. We intend to open a larger office, get more work with more lawyers and clients, and expand globally within the next five years. We already have clients in China, the United States and Europe, yet we aim to expand our global presence in the coming years.
