In a recent interview with CEO Insights magazine, Vipul shared his strategies, future roadmap, and vision for the company. Let's read about it.

How do you devise quality control processes and ensure they generate substantial value for customers?
As a business with ISI approval and BMC certifications, our products, including loft tanks, double-layer, triple layer, four-layer tanks, antibacterial tanks, underground tanks, and dustbins, are subjected to stringent quality checks before being shipped. Every product must receive approval from our quality control team before it is released to the market.

We regularly hold internal quality meetings, test certificates supplied by customers, and train staff to maintain our standards. Infrequent issues, when they arise, are addressed as opportunities to refine human processes, ensuring continuous improvement. This proactive approach enhances consumer satisfaction and product reliability, ultimately building stronger trust in our brand.
What is your leadership approach, and what guidelines or methodologies do you follow as a leader?
My leadership approach is rooted in fostering a culture of integrity, innovation, and quality. I prioritize timely delivery, flexibility, and customization to ensure we meet and exceed client expectations. In the roto moulding industry, our ability to develop in-house moulds and manufacture products ranging from 2 to 50 kilograms sets us apart, allowing us to cater to diverse needs with precision.

I have been deeply influenced by my father, who instilled in me the values of credibility and dependability. These principles guide me to uphold strict quality standards, maintain open and regular communication, and align my team with our overarching goals. I believe that honest leadership and a commitment to quality drive not only innovation but also long-term customer satisfaction, which is at the heart of what we do.

How do you stay updated with industry trends to steer your organization toward future success?
As the Director of Roto Mitra Forum, the Association for Rotomoulders from all over India, I maintain close ties with CEOs, Managing Directors, chairpersons, and other important roto molding industry stakeholders, which helps me stay abreast of industry developments. Since our sector is small, I am able to have one-on-one meetings with business executives all over India. I learn about market demands, product innovations, and new developments from these exchanges. For instance, I can depend on my network to easily cooperate and trade goods if I need tanks in Bangalore. This cooperative spirit also ensures mutual growth and growth of the industry as a whole.

I also participate in the exchange of industry knowledge as a director of the association. We host training sessions to give newcomers to the roto molding industry the technical know-how and market intelligence they need to succeed. Individuals and the industry as a whole gain from this emphasis on education. I ensure that my company remains ahead of the curve and is set up
for success in the future by maintaining communication, encouraging teamwork, and placing a strong emphasis on lifelong learning.

What future goals or destinations are you aiming to achieve?
My main goal is to grow Simplex to a ₹50 crore turnover over the next five years while continuously enhancing product quality to guarantee that no faulty goods are released into the market. My top priority is still upholding customer trust by providing superior quality products.

I am actively exploring growth and expansion opportunities while keeping a close eye on trends like initial public offerings. I am upbeat about the future and prepared to seize market opportunities when they present them selves.

Based on your experience, what advice would you give to aspiring industry leaders?
Simply put, I would advise aspiring industry leaders to concentrate on creating better products. When you produce high-quality products, the market gets better, consumers trust your brand, and the industry gets stronger. Quality is the cornerstone of success. Setting excellence as your top priority in all areas of production will help you build enduring value for your company and the clients you serve.

Vipul Rathod graduated from Mumbai University, and has worked in the plastics industry for more than 25 years. As the managing partner at Simplex Plast, he is in-charge of production, marketing, and accounts. Vipul specializes in making custom roto-molded products, dustbins, mannequins, and plastic water storage tanks. Since 2019, Vipul has been actively promoting the expansion of the industry as the Director of Roto Mitra Forum. He has established himself as a reliable authority in the roto-molding field as an expert in engineering, operations, customer service, and negotiation.
