Well known as 'the land of five rivers' Punjab is for numerous reasons across the country. Not only does it have the most fertile lands, but is also designation as the `Breadbasket of India' possessing one of the most ancient civilizations in the world. Punjab is also deduced to be the 16th largest state economy in India with 5.41  lakh crore ($68 billion) (2020-21) in gross domestic product and a per capita GDP of $2360(180,000) ranking 19th amongst Indian states. As news depicts, in September 2021, the Punjab government approved a policy to develop 50-acre townships in New Chandigarh (Mullanpur) due to the rising demand for affordable housing in Chandigarh and Mohali; while in April 2022, Punjab's Minister of Health, Dr. Vijay Singla, had announced plans to set up 333 urban wellness centres in urban and semi-urban areas across the state.
