Top 10 CEOs in Oman - 2022
Famous for its ancient aflaj oases irrigation system, terraced orchards (Jebel Akhdar), adobe fortresses, lots of mosques, wadis (stream valleys), dhows (traditional Arabian sailing ships), meteorites, and Al Said, the world's third largest yacht, owned by the Sultan, Oman (officially the Sultanate of Oman), is an Arabian country located in southwestern Asia.
On the brighter side, Oman is a high income country that generates 84 percent of its revenue from dwindling oil resources, however, agriculture and fisheries, manufacturing, logistics and transport, energy and mining, and tourism are the other industries that are growing at a gradual rate in the region. Largely disturbed by the global drop in oil prices, the country has had it difficult to manage its economy lately, but it is positively making it happen through tourism and gas-based industries. The Omani economy is benefiting from both higher oil and gas revenues and the country's fiscal policies and discipline.
As per studies, Oman's economy has enjoyed a strong first half to 2022 and the outlook for the rest of this year and 2023 is positive as well. The overall central government balance has improved by 12.8 percentage points of GDP to a deficit of 3.2 percent in 2021, majorly due to higher hydrocarbon revenue, expenditure restraint, and the introduction of VAT. Also, fiscal and external surpluses are expected in 2022 and over the medium term. There are many adept leaders who have domineeringly led this growth, and that includes accomplished CEOs in Oman who have made it possible for diverse organizations to sail through business challenges.
In this issue of the CEO Insights magazine, a list of ‘Top 10 CEOs in Oman - 2022' is provided to the readers in corporate and different sectors, for informing on the excellent services leveraged by the Leaders in diverse domains.
