Top 10 Chief Administrative Officers - 2021
Chief Administrative Officers (CAO), also known as Chief Operating Officer (COO), is a high level executive, who manages day-to-day functions of a company. CAO is in charge of important departments like finance, HR and sales and reports to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) about the performance of these departments on a daily basis. The CAO works with top level executives to devise strategies and policies to meet the organization's objectives and goals. The responsibilities of CAO also includes Managing budgets, hiring & contracting, business negotiations, analyzing audit reports, formulating improvements for departments, coordinating interdepartmental activities, delegating responsibility to subordinates, and ensuring that all IRS laws, government regulations, and SEC rules are met.
A CAO should handle several principal duties, all focused on making time, information, and decision processes. A successful CAO will have strong interpersonal communication skills, ability to handle stress, experience in operations management, knowledge of fiscal planning, budgeting & reporting, knowledge in relevant laws & regulations, proficiency in MS Office & database, and excellent organizational & leadership skill. The CAO should be an expert in building social and financial capital. He/she should be able to build strong administrative platform rooted in strong community values and should be able to solve complex policy problems in nuanced projects. This prestigious position is expected to grow as fast as the national average during the time period of 2018-2028 at six percent in India. The statistics is based on the number of openings emerging from the creation of new companies and extension of existing ones.
