Managing and monitoring investments and making sure that investing in a particular scheme or business is profitable, yet cumbersome task. This is the role which a Chief Investment Officer (CIO) manages in an organization, where he overlooks the company's investments both within and outside the organization. CIO's role involves extremely business-sensitive responsibilities like supervising a team of portfolio managers, managing funds, managing & allocating assets, monitoring investments, developing short & long-term investment policies and maintaining investor relation, which requires specific set of skills.
