Amongst all the sages mentioned in the Puranas of Hinduism, the name of Maharshi Veda Vyasa stands out prominent. International Business Leaders of the Year - 2021
The global economic growth in the year 2020 is projected to be 4.9 percent, which is 1.9 percent points below that predicted by World Economic Outlook (WEO) for the year. In 2021, global growth is projected at 5.4 percent. The pandemic pushed the world into crisis, sparing no country. Emerging market and developing economies face additional challenges with unprecedented reversals in capital flows as global risk appetite wanes and currency pressures, along with challenges caused by pandemic. There are other factors like US-China trade turmoil, low productivity growth and aging demographics in advanced economies enhancing the economic slowdown.
The UN have warned that this devastating impact of economic slowdown will continue for years to come unless smart investments in economic, societal and climate resilience ensure a robust and sustainable recovery of the global economy. In 2020, the world economy shrank two and half times more than that of global financial crisis of 2009. The studies by Interim Outlook says that these inflationary pressures should eventually fade. Consumer price inflation in the G20 countries is projected to peak towards the end of 2021 and slow throughout 2022. Wage growth remains broadly moderate and medium term inflation expectations remain contained. Macroeconomic policy support is still needed as long as the outlook is uncertain and employment has not yet recovered fully. Business all over the world will continue adoption of advent technologies and digitalization, thereby benefitting from higher productivity, efficiency, and innovation.
