With the announced budget, the infrastructure sector, which is important for augmenting the country's overall development, has prime focus from the Government for development of policies to ensure a large number of word class infrastructure development in India in power, bridges, dams, roads, and infrastructure development in the urban parts.

    According to the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), construction development sector, which includes townships, housing, built-up infrastructure, and construction development projects and activities (infrastructure), was at US$ 25.93 billion and US$ 23.99 billion between April 2000 and December 2020.  In 2021, the construction industry in India is poised to grow 13 percent. Amid Covid pandemic, the progress of the construction works continues with the leadership with affirmative growth in the previous few months (16.8 percent year-on-year increase of Infrastructure result in India in May 2021). Domestic and international players are now eyeing on the increased impetus for the development of infrastructure in the country.
