Indian businesses have transformed with the advent of e-Commerce, and the Indian e-Commerce market is projected to grow and reach $200 billion by 2026 from $38.5 billion in 2017. The growth is a result of the increase in internet and smartphone penetration as till 2020, the number of internet connections in the country increased to 776.45 million (about 61 percent of urban area connection) because of the `Digital India' initiative. The e-Commerce development has created the Indian online grocery market to expand from $1.9 billion in 2019 to $18.2 billion in 2024. In 2020, India's e-Commerce volume order increased by 36 percent in the last quarter with products of personal care, beauty, and wellness as the largest beneficiary. During the festive seasons, the sales from e-Commerce portals increase showcasing the dependence of consumers in the e-Commerce businesses.
