    The retail industry in India is one of the fastest-growing industries in the world. According to Forrester Research in 2020, the retail sector in India was projected at $883 billion. Grocery retail accounted for $608 billion. The retail market in India is estimated to reach $1.3 trillion by 2024. According to World Bank's Doing Business publication in 2020, India ranked 63rd. In the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development's Business-to-Consumer E-commerce Index 2019, India ranked 73rd. By the end of 2021, India's direct selling industry is equalized to reach $2.14 billion. Amidst Covid19 Pandemic, the consumer spends in India quietened to $245.16 billion in the third quarter of 2020 from $192.94 billion in the second quarter of 2020.
