Top 10 Leaders in Structural Design - 2021
Structural designs are skeletal system of a building that give strength and proper shape to it. The basic objective in structural analysis and design is to produce a structure capable of resisting all applied loads without failure during its intended life. Its primary purpose is to transmit or support loads. The global construction industry is expected to reach an estimated $10.5 trillion by 2023, and it is forecast to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 4.2 percent from 2018 to 2023. The increasing urbanization and population are leading to growing infrastructure constructions and construction of residential buildings.
The construction industry in India is the third largest contributor to economic growth. The industry employees more than 40 million people. Numerous government programs are also playing an important role in the growth of construction industry in India. Schemes like Smart Cities, Housing for All, Make in India and Atal Mission for Urban Rejuvenation & Transformation (AMRUT) will further enhance the construction activities in India. During the forecast period of 2021 to 2026, the construction sector is expected to grow at a CAGR of 11 percent.
The expansion of infrastructure all over the country, like roads, railways, airports and others is adding to the growth of the market. The construction and infrastructure sector has received FDI inflows amounting to $105 million and $617 million, respectively from 2017 to 2020. In 2021, the FDI equity flow in the sector touched approximately $420 million.
