In the era of advanced technologies, most of our tools and commodities are gradually becoming smaller, faster, and cheaper due to the vast usage of semiconductors. With a strong design base as well as a huge market of end-use products that use semiconductors, India is one of the fastest-growing semiconductor markets across the world. A seasoned professional with more than 18 years of experience in wireless systems and the semiconductor space, Hemamali Gorthi started his career with a WLAN SoC design startup called Athena Semiconductors, later acquired by Broadcom. After 10-years he started a company called Trakray that focused on developing micro localization systems for different IoT market space, which later acquihired by NXP semiconductors and presently he's working as the Director at Infine on Technologies continuously enhancing, innovating and driving new wireless IoT technologies at the firm.

Given the shifting technology and business landscape, organizations are posed with diverse business challenges today, and it is necessarily required of the organizations to be led under the umbrella of a leader who is technically and strategically skilled in tackling business challenges. Today, there are many universities dedicated in the direction of leveraging such extensive higher education that prepares individuals to emerge as leaders of tomorrow, and National Institute of Technology Calicut one amongst those.
Formerly (until 2002), Calicut Regional Engineering College (CREC), National Institute of Technology Calicut is a 1961 established public technical university, that's also acclaimed as an institute of national importance governed by the NIT Act passed by the Parliament of India. havinge university campus situated 22 kilometres north east of Kozhikode, on the KozhikodeMukkam Road, it is one of the National Institutes of Technology campuses established by the Government of India for imparting high standard technical education to students from all over the country. NIT Calicut hosts a supercomputer on its campus, and has a dedicated nanotechnology department too. Introducing the extensively defined programs in its curriculum NITC offers undergraduate courses as B.Tech. in various engineering fields and B.Arch., followed by postgraduate courses in M.Tech. In addition, the university also offers an applied computer science course granting Master of Computer Application (M.C.A.), a business course granting Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) and a two-year Master of Science (M.Sc.) in science departments. PhD programmes are available in all engineering and science disciplines and management.
Moreover for admissions into its varied undergraduate, M.Tech and Ph.D. MCA, and MBA courses, it has extensive exams held such as Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main), GATE, NIMCET, and CAT, respectively designed by exclusive boards. With such refined quality of education delivered to individuals here, it has built many accomplished leaders over the years, and they are efficiently leveraging their industry skills leading top-notch organizations internationally, today. They definitely need to be celebrated.
