Today, the competition is fierce in the world, and rote or methodological form of learning is quite a lagger and insufficient to prepare students to be future ready to face the challenges emerging incessantly in the business and corporate space. But, there are universities and colleges that have come up looking at the education structures in a pragmatically defines manner, and leveraging curriculum of higher education that best suits the modern world scenario.
SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), formerly SRM University Chennai is nevertheless different. Established in 1985, SRM Engineering College is a private higher education institute deemed to be university (since 2002), located in Kattankulathur, Chengalpattu(near Chennai), Tamil Nadu, India. As of now, SRM Institute of Science and Technology has six campuses PAN India, four in Tamil NaduKattankulathur, Ramapuram, Vadapalani, and Tiruchirappalli, and, one in Andhra Pradesh Amaravati, and one in NCR Delhi.
As one of the top-ranking universities in India with over 20,000 students and more than 2600 faculty across all the campus, the institute offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs in Engineering, Management, Medicine, Health Sciences, Science and Humanities. Conducting its own admission test known as the SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination (SRMJEEE), the institute has admitted several candidates until now, and having nurtured them all along with quality education, it has produced many leaders over the period today. The leaders are dynamically leading different industry-based organizations today, applying their dexterity in the field.
