While few developed nations have taken their foot backwards, and few have to yet start walking their talk, India is headstrong in fulfilling its promise to contribute a significant role to curtail the emission generated during use of fossil-fuels. Hence, India has steadfast its investment in renewable energy. International Energy Agency (IEA) in its World Energy Investment 2018 reports stated that India's renewable energy sector investment surpassed the fossil-fuel based power generation projects for the first time in 2017. Thanks to the sharp cost reductions and improved policy support that is paving the way for continued growth of the sector. Alongside, the recent statement by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy stated that India's renewable energy sector attracted investments of over $42 billion over the past four years and green energy projects have created over 10 million man-days of employment per annum over the period. The report also highlighted that there is a considerable reduction in the solar and wind power tariffs to historic lows through transparent tariff based competitive bidding, waiver on inter-state transmission charges, notifying renewable purchase obligation trajectory up to 2019 and notifying a new wind-solar hybrid policy. However, there still lies a huge gap between the demand and supply of renewable energy. Even tough we have rules framed on scheduling and forecasting initiated in 2010, it is only in the recent past the industry started painting the real picture.Experiencing an increase in demand from both industrial and residential sectors, people now look for companies who that play a pivotal role right from prospecting resource sites to executing renewable energy projects in the wind and solar domains via latest technologies, tools & methodologies.
