In fact, the department of operations has always been under the dynamic process of evolution. Today, this change is happening in shut-eye time, and it's even more dynamic. Operations leaders, especially the ones who are trying to create headway in the industry, need to comprehend the fact that the skill sets and traits tech teams require have changed dramatically over the course of the pandemic alone; let alone the constant change in accordance with the dynamic technology upgrades. Let's take an example. If IT was merely a facilitation infrastructure a few years ago, it has now transformed into a cornerstone that enables business and even day-to-day operations continuity, even during the unfavorable business environments--pandemic is a case in point. The mindset of organizations and people towards digital transformation has transformed astonishingly. In the aftermath, operations leaders need to adapt their strategy to match the hybrid work culture and pace of technology upgrade. It brings enormous challenges. The curious case of cyber threats is a solid example. Going forward, operation leaders will continue to be the silent productivity hackers and drivers of business transformation. This means that a modern-day operations head needs to know more than the business and processes. They need to have decisive acumen for technology and digital transformation. The traits like emotional intelligence and communication skills will guide them further forward in the success path.
