Under a two-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the collaboration aims to facilitate joint research endeavors and pioneer innovative solutions, particularly within the EV sector.Manu Saale, MBRDI's Managing Director and CEO, views this collaboration between industry and academia as a catalyst for delivering state-of-the-art innovations aligned with evolving industry and consumer demands. Saale expressed enthusiasm, stating, "We are eager about the prospects of closely collaborating with the Indian Institute of Science and anticipate showcasing the finest of Indian engineering research on a global platform".The central aim of this partnership revolves around initiating a paradigm shift in engineering methodologies and undertaking extensive, long-term research projects. By emphasizing the utilization of their respective strengths, encompassing existing infrastructure and academic programs, both MBRDI and IISc aim to harness their capabilities for mutual growth. Goindan Rangarajan, IISc's Director, underscored the significance of this collaboration in propelling research and innovation in sustainable mobility and EVs.Rangarajan emphasized, "The partnership strengthens our commitment to fortify industry-academia collaborations that can yield substantial impacts in the years ahead". Additionally, the collaboration involves the Foundation for Science Innovation and Development (FSID), tasked with overseeing IISc's engagements with the industry.
