| | MARCH 202019expert, and many more to make all ends meet. But now, I take diligent care of business development, formulation of new strategies, new product development, execution and ensuring that every team member is aligned with our goals. I also constantly explore new geographies to enhance Codezin's footprint across diverse markets to expand its portfolio. How has your entrepreneurial journey been so far? My journey with Codezin started-off with great perseverance, and over time, we enhanced our mettle in fields such as Automation, Enterprise Applications, Big Data Analytics, Network Management and many more. I also take pride in standing-out as a successful and reliable IT partner for behemoths in India like Shree Cement, J.K. Cement, Tata Steel, Reliance Jio, Emami Group, ITC, Vedanta, Bharti Infratel and many others. They were satisfied with our work of developing, deploying and managing custom applications for them. Furthermore, as our tagline echoes `get.noticed', we always ensured that our clients' idiosyncrasies got noticed by their final customers. Altogether, this decade-long journey at Codezin was satisfying with many ups & downs. Right from the point of learning basics to expanding the team and the organization, the ground realities were my best tutor rather than the knowledge acquired through any formal training. This way, I strove to be better, learnt from my mistakes, and also mastered in balancing and prioritizing things not just on the professional front, but personal front too. Today, we are proud and happy to have acquired over 100 satisfied clients across five continents and successfully developed over 300 software solutions for them. Moreover, Codezin bagging the `Fastest Emerging IT Company in India' award was truly a moment of sheer pride for us. We are a little old-fashioned in the sense, we would rather become a unicorn in revenue than market cap and we would rather generate cash than burn.Have you faced any challenges in this journey?Yes! Talent retention was the main challenge. Hence, I ceaselessly focused on creating and promoting a culture that respects the work of employees, fosters innovation, and exhibits integrity. I learnt that merely giving perks was not the best idea to retain talent, everyone does that. What was needed was to provide an environment that people want to come to everyday. On the Client-side, we were always well-balanced, as we knew that demand is no longer merely looking for products or services. `Demand' is now demanding performance and experience which we always delivered. What future plans do you have in pipeline for Codezin? We are seamlessly working on a handful of new products for the B2B space. These products involve processing huge chunks of data which not only provide actionable insights, but also automate what needs to be actioned upon. It's sort of a self-healing system which invokes the repairs across the application stack without human intervention. For this, we are creating proprietary algorithms that cannot be replicated quickly. We as a team believe that for any process/product/service in the physical world, assess if it has a digital representation. If it doesn't, then build it immediately, and you will have your next moonshot; because once you digitize, the marginal cost of transmission and replication both become almost zero. How do you keep yourself updated with the industry's advancements?By spending some time every week to research on all newfangled developments in my areas of interest and later brainstorming about them with the team. While the earlier generation was about artificial power (electricity), the current one is about artificial intelligence. We believe when every industry is just reduced to data, it is AI that is going to rule, providing an autonomous world customized to individual interest. Whether we are ordering food, watching a movie or summoning transportation, there is a layer of AI governing all those interactions. So take any idea and try to cognify it.Last but not the least, tell us about your family and your take on balancing personal & professional lives. My family, especially my husband, has always been extremely supportive throughout my entrepreneurial journey. Maintaining a perfect work-life balance has been quite challenging for me as a woman. Yet, I always prioritize work and home based on the situation in picture. I'm also grateful to have a well understanding team and family that support and fill-in when needed. ?!?!?!?!?!WOMEN LEADERS10TOPIN TECHNOLOGY - 2020
