Trump Appoints Sriram Krishnan as Senior AI Policy Advisor at White House
President-elect Donald J. Trump announced the appointment of Sriram Krishnan, an entrepreneur and former Microsoft employee who previously worked as an aide to Elon Musk, as the Senior Policy Advisor for Artificial Intelligence at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy.
In a post shared on Truth Social, Trump said, “Sriram Krishnan will focus on ensuring continued American leadership in AI and help shape and coordinate AI policy across Government, including working with the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology”.
Krishnan, an Indian entrepreneur who started his career as a founding member of Windows Azure at Microsoft, will work closely with David Sacks, a well-known figure in technology and policy.
Responding to Trump’s announcement, Krishnan, born in Chennai, expressed his gratitude and commitment to the role.
"I'm honored to be able to serve our country and ensure continued American leadership in AI, working closely with David Sacks. Thank you, @realDonaldTrump, for this opportunity", he said in a post on X.
