A5G Networks obtains funding from Bharat Innovation Fund

A5G Networks, a provider of distributed and autonomous 5G Core network software, said it has secured funding from India’s deeptech-focused venture capital fund, Bharat Innovation Fund.

The company did not disclose financial details of the transaction, but added that the financing will be used to expand its team, engage with global customers for mobile network transformation and accelerate growth.

A5G Networks most recently partnered with Vodafone Idea for a private network pilot in Mumbai using the telco’s existing 4G spectrum. The two will also work to enable industry 4.0 and smart mobile edge computing here.

Bharat Innovation Fund is a pre-series-A/series-A fund led by seasoned investment and technology professionals with a focus on IP-driven deep tech solutions.
