With the addition of electric vehicles (EVs) to its intra-city logistics network, ABB India has made significant progress toward cleaner operations.

The new fleet will oversee last-mile deliveries around Bengaluru and move both finished items and raw materials between the company's plant and distribution center, all with the goal of lowering carbon emissions.

Key leadership, including Kiran Dutt (Electrification Commercial Lead), Saju SR (MU Manager), Jothi Prakash (Cluster Manager), Sergio Silvestri (Hub Manager, ELSP), Sergio Buttice (Commercial Operations Manager), and Kanda DB, participated in the project's official launch at the Smart Power facility in Nelamangala and the Hanchipura Distribution Center.

ABB India launched its first electric truck for internal logistics at the Peenya facility in simultaneously. Tuomo Hoysniemi, President of ABB Drive Products, and AR Madhusudan, Local Division Manager, led the launch event.

By reducing Scope-3 emissions, this move to electric vehicles is anticipated to have a significant effect and support ABB's larger environmental objectives.

The program demonstrates the company's commitment to environmentally friendly operations and its goal for a more conscientious and sustainable industrial future.
