AdaniAdani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has achieved a significant milestone by successfully integrating 551 MW of solar capacity into the national grid from its Khavda Renewable Energy (RE) park project in Gujarat. This accomplishment, realized within just 12 months of initiating the project, positions the Khavda RE park to become the world's largest renewable energy installation with a planned capacity of 30 GW in the next five years.

The operationalization of this solar capacity is poised to provide electricity for approximately 16.1 million homes on an annual basis. AGEL's project has not only added substantial clean energy to the grid but has also transformed the landscape of the Rann of Kutch by developing essential infrastructure and creating a habitable environment for its workforce.

Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, expressed the significance of this achievement, stating, "Adani Green Energy is creating one of the world’s most extensive renewable energy ecosystems for solar and wind". He emphasized that through bold and innovative projects like the Khavda RE plant, AGEL continues to establish higher global benchmarks and reshape the planning and execution standards for large-scale renewable energy projects worldwide.

This milestone serves as validation for the Adani Group's commitment to playing a leading role in accelerating India's clean energy transition journey. Adani highlighted the group's dedication to achieving India's ambitious goals of reaching 500 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030 and attaining carbon neutrality.

Situated in an area abundant with wind and solar resources, the Khavda RE park exemplifies AGEL's strategic approach to leveraging innovative solutions for the swift development of renewable energy plants. This contributes not only to an indigenous and sustainable supply chain but also reinforces India's position in the global sustainable energy dialogue. AGEL's achievements in the Khavda project reflect a commitment to advancing India's renewable energy sector and aligning with global sustainability goals.
