Adani Group will Invest Over Rs 2 lakh Crore Investment in Gujarat
At the 10th Vibrant Gujarat Summit in Ahmedabad, Gautam Adani, Chairman of Adani Group, announced plans for investments exceeding Rs 2 lakh crore (approximately USD 25 billion) in Gujarat over the next five years. This initiative aims to generate more than 100,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities. Adani emphasized additional commitments to expand the Adani Group's projects, including the development of the world's largest green energy park in Khavda, Kutch. This park is set to cover 725 square kilometers, producing 30 gigawatts of renewable energy and is expected to be visible from space. The group also plans to create an extensive integrated renewable energy ecosystem, involving solar panels, wind turbines, hydrogen electrolyzers, green ammonia, PVC, and expansions in copper and cement production, contributing to India's self-reliant ('Atmanirbhar') initiative and reinforcing the green supply chain.
Adani mentioned his previous commitment at the summit, having announced investments exceeding Rs 55,000 crore by 2025. He noted that the group has already surpassed the Rs 50,000 crore mark across diverse sectors, significantly surpassing the initial goal of creating 25,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities. Adani praised Vibrant Gujarat as a testament to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visionary leadership, admiring its ambitious scale, meticulous governance, and seamless execution. He highlighted how this initiative spurred a nationwide movement, encouraging states to compete and collaborate, reshaping India's industrial landscape fundamentally.
Regarding India's progress, Adani cited substantial growth in GDP by 185 percent and per capita income by 165 percent since 2014. He hailed Prime Minister Modi's significant international achievements, especially the transformation from a country seeking global recognition to one that creates global platforms. Adani particularly lauded the Prime Minister's role in initiatives like the Solar Alliance and leadership within the G20, marking a shift towards a more inclusive global order.
Adani praised Prime Minister Modi's transformative leadership, emphasizing his role in steering India as the world's fastest-growing nation, advocating for global inclusivity based on the principles of Vasudeva Kutumbakam and Vishwa Guru. He also highlighted the Prime Minister's vision to harness India's youth, aiming to make India fully developed by 2047, setting the stage for India's profound global influence in the future.
