Adidas Welcomed By BCCI As Their New Sponsor

The Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) announced on Monday that German sportswear company Adidas would become the national team's new gear sponsor.

Local media reported earlier this year that a deal was nearing completion, and BCCI secretary Jay Shah announced the move on Twitter without disclosing financial details or the length of the contract.

"I'm pleased to announce @BCCI's partnership with @adidas as a kit sponsor," Shah tweeted.

"We are committed to growing the game of cricket and could not be more excited to partner with one of the world's leading sportswear brands. Welcome aboard, @adidas."

To replace American sportswear producer Nike, the BCCI secured a three-year partnership with the Mobile Premier League's sports goods brand MPL Sports in 2020.

After that partnership expired prematurely, clothing brand Killer Jeans stepped in as an interim sponsor, and their contract will expire on May 31, according to reports.
