Air India SATS Inaugurates Logistics Park at Bengaluru Airport

The AISATS BLR Logistics Park at Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru was inaugurated today by Air India SATS Airport Services Private Limited (AISATS).
The 8-acre complex, developed with an investment of Rs 200 crore, is believed to be one of the biggest on-airport logistics parks in South India.
AISATS is said to be a joint venture between both Air India (Tata Group) and SATS Ltd.
The park’s three main components include a modern two-story main warehouse with over 240,000 square feet of Grade A space for freight forwarders, express courier services, and logistics companies, an 11,000 square foot public bonded warehouse for importers and OEMs, and a 24,000 square foot office block devoted to customs house agents and support services.
Pay-per-use cold storage and common warehouse space are observed to be available at the facility.
Additionally, it is said to provide trucking services operated by AISATS to provide seamless freight transportation between the park and the airport's cargo terminals.
Eco-friendly elements have been incorporated, including waste reduction techniques, LED systems, natural lighting, and rainwater collection.
Bengaluru Airport, handling 40 percent of South India's air cargo volumes and is India's third-busiest airport, is home to the park, which intends to increase cargo handling capacity and help the airport reach its goal of processing one million metric tons of cargo annually by 2030. The airport's highest-ever cargo tonnage of 502,480 MT was reported in FY25.
According to AISATS chairman Nipun Aggarwal, the park represents a significant milestone in India's infrastructure-led development and would strengthen Karnataka's standing as a logistics hub while advancing Air India's goal of seamless cargo connectivity.
The park's contribution to enhancing Bengaluru's freight capacity and international commerce efficiency was emphasized by Bob Chi, CEO of APAC Gateway Services at SATS. The facility, according to AISATS CEO Ramanathan Rajamani, demonstrates the company's dedication to constructing a cutting-edge logistics environment. The park, according to BIAL MD & CEO Hari Marar, is a crucial addition to Bengaluru's cargo infrastructure, advancing the company's objective of becoming a globally connected logistics hub.
