Airtel and Google Cloud Unite for Generative AI Solutions in India
Bharti Airtel and Google Cloud have forged a long-term partnership aimed at providing cloud solutions to businesses in India. Through this collaboration, Airtel will leverage Google Cloud's suite of offerings to accelerate the adoption of cloud services and the modernization efforts of its customers.
Additionally, the telecom leader mentioned that Airtel would extend a range of cloud-managed services to its extensive customer network, encompassing over 2,000 large enterprises and one million emerging businesses. Collaboratively, the two entities will merge connectivity and AI technology to create AI/ML solutions, which Airtel will further refine using its data.
As per the announcement, the AI solutions will help Airtel in providing geospatial analytics solutions with advanced location intelligence for trend-spotting, predictive capabilities, market assessment, site selection, risk management, and asset tracking; voice analytics solutions for superior conversational applications trained across languages; and marketing technology solutions to forecast consumer behaviour, perform tailored audience segmentations, and streamline content creation with high-precision contextual ads at reduced costs.

Apart from these offerings, Airtel has crafted a comprehensive IoT solution tailored for the utility sector. This solution integrates connectivity, Google Cloud services, and application software into a unified offering. “Our strategic collaboration with Airtel marks a significant milestone towards our commitment to accelerate cloud and AI adoption in India. Through this partnership, we aim to explore and build transformative solutions that can enhance Airtel’s customer experiences”, added Thomas Kurian, CEO, Google Cloud.
Airtel has established a managed services center in Pune to drive its cloud-based solutions business forward. This center will be staffed by over 300 experts who are undergoing training in Google Cloud services to create top-notch technological solutions. Additionally, Airtel will utilize Google Cloud's advanced AI capabilities to enhance customer experiences across its mobile, broadband, and digital TV services.
