Akasa Air has entered Bihar and started operating from Darbhanga, improving connectivity between the area and two significant metropolises by operating daily through-flights via Delhi between Hyderabad and Darbhanga.

Akasa is believed to improve air travel accessibility throughout India is in line with this expansion.

At Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport, Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu signaled the start of the first flight.

"We are thankful to the Honourable Minister of Civil Aviation, Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu-ji, for his support on this momentous occasion as we successfully launch our inaugural flight to Bihar”, said Vinay Dube, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Akasa Air.

Government representatives, the leadership of Delhi International Airport Limited, and Vinay Dube, the founder and CEO of Akasa Air, were present at the function.

A celebration was also observed at Darbhanga Airport after the first aircraft, which left Delhi at 9:00 AM, reached Darbhanga at 10:55 AM.

As the 28th destination in Akasa Air's expanding network, Darbhanga demonstrates the airline's dedication to extending air connectivity from major areas to Tier 2 and Tier 3 locations. 

 

In addition to thanking the Minister of Civil Aviation, Vinay Dube emphasized that this extension will boost regional air travel and aid in the social and economic development of Bihar.

Praveen Iyer, co-founder and chief commercial officer, emphasized Akasa's mission to offer dependable, economical, and easy transport solutions to developing cities.
