Ambani Siblings and Alakh Pandey in Hurun's Under-35 List

IshaIsha Ambani, a non-executive director at Reliance Retail, and Parita Parekh from Toddle have been named the youngest women on the inaugural 2024 Hurun India Under-35s list, which celebrates 150 entrepreneurs aged 35 and younger making significant contributions to India’s economic landscape. 

The Hurun report highlights the achievements of outstanding entrepreneurs who have attained a minimum business valuation of USD 50 million for first-generation leaders and USD 100 million for those in the next generation. Among those recognized, 31-year-old Ankush Sachdeva from Sharechat emerged as the youngest individual on the list, while Akash Ambani secured the 32nd position.

Notably, 82% of the entrants are first-generation entrepreneurs, totaling 123 individuals. The list also features seven other women entrepreneurs, including Aneri Patel, Aneesha Tiwari, and Anjali Merchant, all aged 33 or 34, who are continuing their family businesses. Additionally, Saloni Anand, aged 34, was acknowledged for her innovative contributions to the hair care sector with her company, Traya Health.

Ghazal Alagh, aged 35, received recognition for her successful leadership of Mama Earth, which has achieved public listing status.

Bengaluru and Mumbai lead in representation on the list, with 29 and 26 entrepreneurs, respectively. The financial services sector boasts the highest number of entrants, with 21 entrepreneurs, followed by software and services with 14. Overall, service-oriented companies dominate India’s startup ecosystem, accounting for 59% of the list.
