UAEUAV startup Amber Wings has launched 'Vihaa', a cutting-edge agricultural drone poised to revolutionize farming in India. Recently certified by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), the drone offers farmers a faster and more efficient solution for crop management.

Designed to enhance the operational efficiency of farmers and agribusinesses, the Vihaa drone can spray fertilizers, pesticides, and other treatments up to seven times quicker than traditional manual methods. This innovation is set to save farmers valuable time and resources, facilitating improved crop management.

“Introducing 'Vihaa' marks a pivotal moment in our journey to enhance agricultural practices in India”, said Prof. Satya Chakravarthy, Founder, Chief, and Technical Lead of Ubifly Technologies, the company behind Amber Wings. “Our mission has always been to provide innovative solutions that empower farmers and drive industry growth”.

The launch of the Vihaa drone aligns with Amber Wings' broader goal of making advanced drone technology accessible across the country, contributing to the development of the drone technology sector in India. The company is currently providing spraying services in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu, with plans for further expansion in the coming months.

In addition to the Vihaa, Amber Wings is actively developing other drone solutions, including the 'Atva' series designed for package delivery and aerial imaging, catering to logistics and e-commerce needs. The company is also working on a 50-kg payload drone to enhance its service offerings.

Chakravarthy added, “We believe drone technology has the power to transform industries and unlock new possibilities for businesses. By offering end-to-end solutions and building a strong ecosystem, we aim to drive the growth of drone adoption across India”.
