Apraava Energy Wins Third Transmission Project in Madhya Pradesh
Apraava Energy has secured a new greenfield interstate transmission project in Madhya Pradesh through the Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process by the Government of India. The project involves the establishment of approximately 40 kilometers of 765 kV double-circuit transmission lines and a 3,000 MVA substation, marking the company's third transmission project win in the past year. The initiative, following the Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer (BOOT) model, aims to be completed within 24 months from the date of the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) transfer.
Under the Transmission Service Agreement (TSA), Apraava Energy will take charge of the project's ownership, financing, development, design, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, operation, and maintenance. The company will provide transmission services for 35 years post-Commercial Operation Date (COD), addressing the escalating power demands of Madhya Pradesh.
Naveen Munjal, Director of Business Development & Commercial at Apraava Energy, expressed satisfaction with the win, highlighting the company's commitment to supporting Madhya Pradesh's growing power needs. He emphasized Apraava Energy's dedication to being a trusted partner in advancing India's green goals and ensuring power accessibility for all. In 2023, the company secured similar greenfield interstate transmission projects in Rajasthan, contributing to its expanding low-carbon infrastructure initiatives.
